Moonfleat Cottage Spacious living room

Moonfleat Cottage, Quantoxhead, Somerset
300 Year Old Stone Cottage
2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4 / 6 People

Moon Fleat is a traditional 300 year old stone, cosy cottage in West Quantoxhead in the beautiful Quantock Hills; it is listed as being an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty", with panoramic views of Exmoor and across the Bristol Channel to South Wales. Nestled on the Quantock Hills on a narrow lane going up to the plantation of "Staple Plain", the views are breathtaking over the landscape of the Brendons, Exmoor, North Hill, Minehead, Blue Anchor and over to South Wales. The Coleridge Way runs past the front door, affording glorious walks on the Quantock Hills, with plenty of Combes to explore plus the tracks on the top.

Westquantockhead is a quite rural village, but does have a few facilities. St Audries Garage also has a shop, the Windmill public house is recommended for meals, and there is a quaint church opposite. Quantock is known for its wildlife, especially the red deer and Quantock ponies. With the Coleridge Way passing literally past the front door, the area is wonderful for walking, riding, cycling and wildlife watching.

At Moonfleat Cottage, you are very close to Exmoor National Park, Minehead, Dunster and West Somerset Railway and a short drive from Taunton, Cheddar and various National Trust houses and gardens, so you will never be stuck for things to do.

The Cottage: is perfect for 2-4 people, but can sleep 6 comfortably. It has a garage, 2 upstairs bedrooms, sitting room with log burner and TV, a dining room, kitchen, utility room with fridge and washing machine and a bathroom. The bathroom has bath and a shower, and the well equipped kitchen has a traditional Raeburn cooker, but there is an electric cooker and microwave too. The dining room/study room has a small couch that can be used as an extra sleeping facility. Outside, there is a patio. Parking is available.
