Moorcourt cottages are situated in a quiet country lane just five minutes away from a small village with convenient amenities. These cottages have been tastefully converted from the original farm building, retaining many features, fully central heated, decorated and furnished to a high standard, all have own gardens/patio.
Moorcourt cottages are an ideal base for visiting attractions in the area. We are a twenty minute drive from the local market town of Uttoxeter which boasts a cattle market, Inns and the famous Uttoxeter racecourse. Alton Towers is a 25 minute drive and is Britain's premier theme park. The surrounding villages of Alton, Oakamoor and Farley are very picturesque. Those wishing to visit the areas pottery manufacturers and factory shops have only a thirty minute drive into the heart of the pottery and museum area. Names include Wedgwood, Waterford, Doulton, Masons, Spode and Minton.
Further a field is the National Park and Peak District surrounded by the market towns of Matlock and Buxton including the famous Chatsworth House.

Close by there are plenty of footpaths for country walks and a handful of local public houses that serve food. The Co-op village store and a quality butchers & bakers are a five minute drive away in the town of Tean. There is also a Chinese Takeaway for those with more exotic tastes. There are also three A la Carte restaurants within ten minutes drive.

Fieldfare Cottage: accommodates 6 persons. It has the following features, 3 bedrooms/lounge/kitchen and dining area/bathroom/separate wc/shower/shaving points. This cottage has full central heating and a garden/patio area to the rear. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, cooker, fridge and ample crockery/cutlery.

Moorhen Cottage: accommodates 6 persons. It has the following features, 3 bedrooms/lounge/kitchen and dining area/2 bathrooms/shower/shaving points. (Note 1 bedroom is on ground floor) This cottage has full central heating and a garden/patio area to the rear. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, cooker, fridge and ample crockery/cutlery.

Nightjar Cottage: accommodates 6 persons. It has the following features, 3 bedrooms/lounge/kitchen and dining area/2 bathrooms/shower/shaving points. (Note 1 bedroom is on ground floor) This cottage has full central heating and a garden/patio area to the rear. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, cooker, fridge and ample crockery/cutlery.
