Huge Townhouse, 6 Bedrooms, Sleeps 9 - 10 people.

This vast townhouse is to be found on the western edge of Kensington, close to High Street in Kensington and the exhibition halls of Olympia, in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Centrally located on the busy Holland Road, it is convenient for a superb selection of shops, restaurants and transportation both into Central London and to Heathrow Airport. Excellent shopping on Kensington High Street is within walking distance, and in nearby Holland Park there are several fine food shops, with some of London's best delicatessens, greengrocers and butchers. Also, within walking distance, is the excellent park itself with wilderness walks, large lawns, children's play areas and tennis courts. The antiques market on Portobello Road and the West London destinations Of Knightsbridge and Sloane Square are all easily accessible by both taxi and public transport.

The House: has been double-glazed, leaving much of the city's noise and grime out on the street where it belongs, and the owner, a writer, has created a family home of great warmth and comfort Inside, with the space and charm of an old country rectory, but decorated in the eclectic urban style of a world traveller. Perhaps best of all, the house opens onto a small private garden to the lovely lawned communal gardens filled with roses and mature trees.

On the ground floor, the entrance hall gives on to a guest cloakroom, large family room with TV, video, stereo, and a large sitting room overlooking gardens. On the lower ground floor you can enjoy the dining room/music room with upright piano, and a table to seat 10/12. The fitted kitchen/breakfast room is also on this floor, with full-size fridge/freezer, gas hob, oven, Aga (not used in summer), dishwasher, table to seat 10, door to garden with barbecue and door to communal gardens.
