Braithwaite is situated at the end of the
Coledale Valley within 3 miles of the picturesque market town of Keswick and
the lake Derwent Water. Keswick has a variety of shops particularly
outdoor clothes, museums, cinema, theatre and plenty of cafes, restaurants
and pubs.
Braithwaite is a friendly village with a shop, two pubs and a church.
It is a hikers' paradise, sitting at the foot of Whinlatter Pass with
Grisedale Pike towering behind. Walks can be taken from the cottage to
do the Coledale Horseshoe or part of, Causey Pike and Whinlatter Forest.
The Cottage is compact, comfortable, affordable and will appeal equally to
the young and old, who will appreciate the magnificent views from all the
rooms. It is situated in a private residential area on an elevated
site above Braithwaite with a parking area. The centrally heated
accommodation comprises of a dinning/lounge with a colour TV., video, CD
radio, a futon (sofa bed) and superb views. The new modern fitted
kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster,
kettle, toasted sandwich maker, cutlery, crockery. glasses, pans etc.
The double bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobes and superb views.
The en-suite shower room has a cubicle shower, washbasin and toilet.
A cot and garden furniture is available.
The cottage is CaLSCA (Cumbria and Lakeland Self Caterers' Association)
approved.

booking please send a non-returnable deposit of £50 and the balance is paid
on arrival. We only accept cash or cheque.
