Hill Cottage:

Standing alone, beautiful, spacious, 400 to 500 years old and with many original features, this lovely stone house enjoys its own 1/2 acre of private enclosed gardens, on the Devon/Cornwall border and overlooking the picturesque Tamar Valley. Hill Cottage has recently been sympathetically renovated, restoring many original features using local and reclaimed materials On the outskirts of the village of North Tamerton, just 5 miles from the market town of Holsworthy and 15 minutes drive from the beaches at Bude and Widemouth and the North Atlantic Highway (giving access to the whole of the north Cornwall and Devon coast. Easy driving distance to Launceston (15 minutes) and Okehampton (30 minutes), gateway to Dartmoor.

Four bedrooms; two huge doubles and two twin rooms, all with views South over the River Tamar or North up the terraced garden to the small orchard. Modern bathroom with bath, sink, shaver point, separate shower cubicle. Separate toilet..

South Beer Farmhouse: 

A spacious turn of the century Victorian farmhouse in its own enclosed gardens overlooking the farmland and woodland of the Claw Valley, the farmhouse has been sympathetically renovated and retains many original features and is full of character. Close to the Devon /Cornwall border overlooking the village of Clawton, 5 miles from the market town of Holsworthy, 25 minutes drive from the beaches at Bude and Widemouth and the North Atlantic Highway (giving access to the whole North Cornwall and Devon Coast). Easy driving distance from Launceston (15 minutes) and Okehampton (30 minutes), gateway to Dartmoor. Four large bedrooms, and two twins, all with uninterrupted views of the countryside. Spacious modern bathroom with bath, over bath shower, toilet, sink and airing cupboard.

There is a fitted wooden kitchen with oil fired rayburn range, well equipped with separate electric hob, double oven and grill, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Large downstairs shower room with toilet and sink and fitted washing machine and tumble drier. The large drawing room has the original slate fire place with log burner and slate hearth, large sofas and armchairs, modern TV/Video, CD/cassette/radio, books, games etc., wooden floors and rugs and a bright south facing window. The small sitting room is the perfect hideaway with sofa and chairs and plenty of room for a foldaway bed for a plus 1.

Local activities include, cycling (on and off road), walking, surfing and beaches, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, horse riding, fishing, local swimming and sports hall, bird watching and golf or visit the Eden Project, Rosemoor Gardens, and many National Trust properties, as well as a variety of themed indoor and outdoor attractions for the kids.
