Highlands. A path from the garden through the trees leads to a wonderful beach with views to the islands, where you can enjoy the magical sight of the setting sun as it disappears in a riot of pink, red and purple, setting the mountains of Rum and Skye ablaze with colour. Perfect for walking, bird watching and lovers of wild life, red squirrels, pine martens, eagles, grey heron and otters can be found in the immediate area. The offshore islets are home to seals and sea birds, and more information on wide range of topics is readily available from the Land, Sea and Islands Centre, which offers a viewing room, lots of information on local history, wildlife, and much more.
