Fell House:
Self-contained but linked accommodation provides a luxurious base for up to 14 people within a sympathetic conversion of a Victorian grain warehouse. Fell House comprises The House, sleeping up to 8, and The Flat, sleeping a couple or a small family and suitable for the infirm.

Fell House is situated within the lovely ancient town of Sedbergh, mid-way between Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales and Windermere in the Lakes.  You only need walk 100 metres up the road, however, and you are at the foot of the Howgill Fells, leading to much good walking country and the famous Cautley Spout waterfall.

The House:
It is very difficult to know where to start to describe The House, it is so unique.  Accommodation is provided on two floors.
The whole of the ground floor is open plan, but contains an enclosed stairwell in the centre that can link with The Flat. Clever use of doors enable part of this floor to be used as a fourth bedroom, raising the number of guests that can be accommodated in The House from 6 to 8.  The main part of the Ground floor is, however, used as a lounge space, with room for a large group to socialise in comfort.

Going up the spiral staircase (which is in addition to the main stairwell) to the first floor leads to the most spectacular room in Fell House.  The kitchen/dining area is light and airy, and spacious enough for all of the occupants of Fell House to sit and eat meals together.  The kitchen is well equipped with separate hob and oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Off this area are three double bedrooms (2 with en-suite facilities) and an additional bathroom.

The Flat:
The Flat occupies the lower ground floor of Fell House, and has its own parking space and front door in a small lane leading off Howgill Lane.

The Flat has one large family bedroom, a shower-room and the main living room. This contains a compact, but well equipped kitchen. There is an electric hob and oven, a dishwasher and fridge. It also has all of the smaller appliances you would expect, for example a toaster, kettle and microwave oven. The rest of the living area is carpeted and contains a dining table suitable for four people, a sofa-bed and an armchair. There is a television, video and hi-fi for your enjoyment. The ambience is cosy rather than extravagant. The sofa-bed is new for 2002 and offers further flexibility in the sleeping arrangements.
