Town Farm is set below the rolling Chiltern Hills, and the cottages have panoramic views of Ivinghoe Beacon, which is the start of the famous Ridgeway Walk. The working farm has been run by the same family since the 1930s, with about 1000 sheep grazing on the Beacon Hill and surrounding high ground. In March and April, guests are welcome to visit the lambing yard to see the lambs being born, and in May there is fresh asparagus to pick. "Pick Your Own" opens in June, and there is a constant supply of free range eggs from the chickens wandering the farmyard.

The nearest station is in the market town of Tring, just 3 miles away, with London 45 minutes away either by rail or road. The historic towns of Oxford, Cambridge and Windsor are all within an hours' drive, and the M25 is only 20 minutes away. Heathrow and Luton airports are approximately 40 minutes and 25 minutes respectively. The area is a ramblers paradise, with visitors from all over the U.K. wishing to walk the delightful paths in the immediate area. Golf and riding can be arranged, and there is a tennis court on the farm for guests use. Whipsnade Zoo, Woburn Safari Park and the Grand Union Canal are all a short drive away, or you can visit the picturesque village of Aldbury, much used for television series.

The Cottages: being converted farm buildings, have been completely refurbished and are located to the rear of the main house. Each has 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 people comfortably, and they are centrally heated for extra comfort. Well equipped and furnished, the cottages each have a dishwasher, microwave, cooker, washing machine and tumble dryer, with a pay phone for incoming and outgoing calls. There are allocated parking areas for each property, and a garden area.

There is a tennis court, play area and games room with snooker and table tennis.
