Ty Tanglwyst Farm Holiday
Cottages, near Bridgend, Wales.
3 Cottages, sleeping 5, 4, & 6+.
The cottages are situated next to the
farmhouse on a 120 acre working dairy farm.
Ty Tanglwyst has a herd of 70 pedigree
Holstein dairy cows. Visitors who are interested in the farm can be shown
the cows at milking time and can help with feeding the young calves.
Visitors may also visit the stables to see the horses and ponies. Riding
lessons are available on request. Arrangements can also be made to bring
your own horse or pony.
There
is also a 25 acre ancient woodland full of beautiful walks.

Ivy Cottage: sleeps up to 5.
Ivy Cottage sleeps up to 5 people. Its rustic
character has been maintained with white lime washed walls, flagstone floors
with rugs, and exposed beams throughout. As well as central heating there is
a wood burning stove and a basket of logs supplied.
This comfortable well equipped cottage has everything you could need with
quality furnishings a television and video. Open a latched door in the
passageway and you will find a wooden alternate tread stairway leading to a
cosy attic gallery. From here you can peep through the spindles to the twin
bedroom below. The light oak kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge
and microwave oven. the attractively tiled bathroom has a high ceiling, open
to the exposed beams. Next to this is a twin bedroom with beautiful pine
furnishings.
Swallow Cottage:
sleeps 4.
So named because before conversion it was a
stable and home to families of swallows who returned year after year for the
summer months. Similar in character to Ivy Cottage with whitewashed walls,
flagstone floors and exposed beams.
From the hallway two steps lead through an arched doorway to the
living/kitchen area.
The room is beautifully furnished and well equipped with electric oven, hob,
fridge and microwave oven, television and video. Although centrally heated
there is also a wood burning stove for log fires - an ideal place to relax
after a busy day out. Leading from the hallway is a double bedroom complete
with nooks and crannies. Next to this is the compact bathroom which contains
both a bath and shower as well as toilet and washbasin. An alternate tread
wooden staircase takes you up to a quaint gallery attic bedroom. Here you
will find a single bed with a pull-out extra bed stored underneath. Children
will enjoy peering through the spindles to the hallway below.
Granary Cottage: sleeping up to 6 people
plus sofa bed.
Enjoy a break in this beautiful character
accommodation, furnished and equipped to a high standard. The granary is a
spacious detached barn of historical interest sleeping up to 6 people plus
sofa bed. It has a traditional flagstone floor, white lime washed walls and
exposed beams throughout, with full central heating and a blazing wood
burning fire.
Past the entrance hall with its unusual water feature you will discover a
large comfortable lounge area open to the high ceiling with quality
furnishings.

A passageway and stone staircase incorporated into the building leads to an
additional lounge with sofa bed. From here go through the low arched doorway
and you will find the minstrel gallery overlooking the living area.
A winding wooden staircase takes you from the hallway to the two further
attic style bedrooms - one double and one twin. The second bathroom is also
off this landing.
The wood finish kitchen is fully equipped with microwave and dishwasher. The
oval pine table will seat 6 to 8 people.
Downstairs is also the master bedroom with en-suite facilities (Discover the
