stone built Cumbrian cottage on site of Hadrian’s Wall between turrets 51A and 51B. (Wall is under road at this point, but visible 1 mile
away and at different points all along road.)
Cottage on roadside, in open
position, with plain lawn garden to rear (south).
Striking view across Irthing
valley to North Pennines. Single garage and
parking area. Central heating, all rooms have oil fired heating. Easy to run.
Simple and bright, but not
luxurious.
