Lower Hearson is a former dairy farm set in twelve acres of grounds. Tucked away in the heart of the North Devon countryside, it's perfect for a relaxing holiday. You can be assured of a warm welcome to this family run business, where we all live in the grounds. Just outside Barnstaple and twenty minutes from the coast, Lower Hearson is an ideal base for exploring North Devon. Riding stables, fishing lakes, golf and a number of tourist attractions are all close at hand, and it's only a little further to Lynton, Lynmouth and Exmoor. Our nearest beaches are Croyde Bay and the well-known surfing beach Saunton Sands with its golden dunes. Kids won't get bored either. As well as the pool, we've got a games room with table football, pool, table tennis, darts and more for anyone who has energy left when you get back from the beach. There's also a children's play area to keep them busy

Swimming Pool: Our guests share use of our 38' by 16' heated, covered swimming pool which has a depth of 3 to 5 feet. In mild Devon, it's quite warm enough to swim from May right through to October, as long as the weather's good.

Games Room: We have table football, a pool table, a table tennis table, darts and board games for your use in the games room.

Barbecues: In case you fancy an outdoor meal on one of those long summer evenings, we have provided barbecues and garden furniture around the cottages and gardens: all you need to bring is the food.

The Cottages: All of the cottages are beautifully fitted with comfortably furnished living areas, and fully fitted kitchens including washing machine and dishwasher. Each has a garden and BBQ, and they are centrally heated.

Orchard Cottage and Primrose Cottage are beautifully converted, old North Devon farm buildings. There is one double bedroom leading into one twin bedroom and a bathroom comprising bath, shower attachment, WC and wash basin.

The Farmhouse: is a luxurious newly refitted cottage, with bathroom and 3 bedrooms.

Fuchsia Cottage: has three bedrooms, a double, a twin and a single room which also has a folding second bed. The double room has an en-suite shower room and there is also a separate bathroom.
