The cottages enjoy a beautiful location in North Pembrokeshire, 3 miles from the historic market town of Cardigan in West Wales. They are situated near the coast and also a short distance from the spectacular Preseli Hills. This area of Wales offers a wide variety of scenery and attractions including many sandy beaches and coves - where seals and dolphins are seen regularly, coastal and inland walking, bird watching, fishing, crafts, activities such as horse riding, golf, canoeing, boat trips etc.

Trenewydd (pronounced Tren-oo-ith) has 8 acres of peaceful rolling farmland with quiet wooded valleys and a superb stretch of unspoilt coastline nearby. We have an ideal location for discovering the unique charm of West Wales whether you choose inland or coastal scenery. Just three miles away is the glorious sandy beach – "Poppit Sands" which has won a prestigious "Seaside Beach Award". The clean shallow sands make it an ideal, safe, swimming and boating beach. The sand is very good for sandcastles too! Within a few miles there are many other sandy beaches, like the National Trust beach at Penbryn, where you can relax on the sand while the children hunt amongst the rock pools, for giant crabs or search the caves for pirate treasure! And not forgetting the beautiful cove at "Mwnt" (also belonging to the National Trust) which has also won a "Seaside Beach Award" for the past three years and is a favourite stop for our resident school of dolphins!

The beautiful heated swimming pool of more than generous proportions is sunken into the landscaped gardens adjoining the farmhouse. It is surrounded by a natural stone wall to provide not only ideal swimming conditions but also the perfect suntrap. Weather permitting, this heated outdoor pool is available from May to September.

Play Area: Carefully planned away from the cottages, but close enough to be safe, is a large children’s play area with swings, see-saw etc., and tucked away is a barbecue with picnic tables and equipment (charcoal is supplied free of charge). What nicer than children happily playing while the adults enjoy a peaceful barbecue with grilled steak and a bottle of wine!

The Cottages: sleep 2-13 persons and are furnished and equipped to an excellent standard, with fully fitted kitchens.

Bwthyn Derw: 5 bedrooms, (Sleeps up to 9) This is our largest cottage, which is arranged on two floors, but on the ground floor is another double bedroom, ideal for those finding stairs a difficulty,

Bythyn Castan: 2 bedrooms (Sleeps up to 5, ground floor) An ideal cottage for either a family, or just a couple of people.. All rooms are on the same level with a wood beamed lounge, spacious yet retaining that cosy cottage atmosphere.

Bwthyn Onnen: 2 bedrooms  (Sleeps up to 4, ground floor) This cosy cottage all on one level is ideal for two to four people with two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with two single beds.

Ty Mawr: 3 bedrooms  (Sleeps up to 6) Ty Mayr- meaning ‘large house’ is affectionately referred to by regularly visiting children as ‘their upside down holiday cottage’! Three bedrooms and a bathroom occupy the ground floor with stairs leading to the spacious open-plan first floor.

Ty Canol: 2 bedrooms (Sleeps up to 5) Ty Canol – meaning ‘Middle House’ is an all time favourite with regularly visiting families and couples alike. The cosy atmosphere of this most attractive cottage pervades all rooms giving a real Welsh ambience and a memorably comfortable stay.
