In a truly stunning location, this property overlooks the historic castles of Sinclair and Girnigoe, and is a spectacular retreat for those wishing to enjoy the history, wildlife and superb coastal scenery of Northern Scotland. The bay is an area of international significance for native and visiting sea birds, and the Nosshead Estate includes a hide overlooking a small, fresh water loch, where you can enjoy the breathtaking spectacle of the countless sea birds soaring in and out of the cliffs.  Puffins, Razorbills, Guillemots, Black Guillemots, Kittiwakes, Rock Pipits and Gannets are frequent visitors and regularly seen from the lighthouse, as are the Lapwings and Oystercatchers that live on the estate.  Long summer evenings provide a perfect opportunity to see the flora and fauna of this terrain, and many interesting plant species can be found along the cliffs, with tiny Squill plants carpeting the moorland. Wandering around the estate are a number of Highland cattle, sheep and Shetland ponies. The ClanSinclair Study Centre adjoins the Lairds Retreat, and the library offers an unrivalled opportunity  for research into the Clan Sinclair and the reading of historic texts.

The Lairds Retreat: offers comfortable accommodation in a perfect location for nature lovers, and sleeps 6 people, plus 2 in The Bothy if required. It comprises a living room, dining room, kitchen, with three bedrooms, and a bathroom. The kitchen has a lovely view across the clifftiops, and is generally a very popular room for enjoying the sight of the swooping birds in the late evening light. It is fitted with and oven/hob, microwave and fridge / freezer, and the bathroom has a bath with overhead shower and a wc. There is a double bedroom with an additional single bed, a single bedroom and a twin bedroom, and all have views either across the estate or along the coastline.

The Bothy: offers accommodation for two people in bunk beds, and has it's own shower room and wc, and a simple food preparation area with microwave and kettle. It is annexed to the Lairds Retreat, and can be booked in conjunction with, or separately.
