Our accommodation includes 3 different type of hotel room,1 bedroom Lochside suites, 1 and 2 bedroom Apartments, and 1-3 bedroom lodges. All of our accommodation is within a stones throw of the Loch, overlooking Ben Cruachan.

Facilities include 2 restaurants and a bar, boat hire , advice on trekking and car touring , car rental arrangements, Bike Hire and Fishing tackle Hire.

Portsonachan Hotel is steeped in history, a coaching Inn for several hundred years. Just a 1.5 hour drive from Glasgow, a 2.5 hour drive from Edinburgh and a 1 hour drive from Oban, 'Gateway to the Isles'.

1 Bedroom Lochside Suites: spectacular units with large double bedrooms with integrated Villroy & Boch bathroom and a HiFi system, Tv and DVD player.

Other amenities include:

Ground Floor wet shower room.
Kitchen including dishwasher.
Comfy lounge with leather sofas, one of which is a sofa bed with 4" sprung mattress.
Patio with seating on the Loch shore.
Central heating and double glazing with large patio doors affording unbelievable view over the surrounding area.
Private parking in dedicated unit parking and highland slate flooring, so that the unit is outdoor pursuits friendly


2 bedroomed Lodges: (hillside) are suitable for sleeping 6. These units have a first floor lounge and kitchen diner with dining table. They have a balcony and are in an elevated position overlooking Loch Awe with views for approx. 15 miles.

They contain:

Kitchen with dining area for 6.
Dishwasher, fridge, cooker and microwave.
Main bedroom with Sauna and a power shower.
Second bathroom/shower - en-suite to main bedroom.
Bedroom 1: Double bed with built in wardrobe and free standing dressing table. En-suite facilities.
Bedroom 2: Double Bedroom with built in wardrobe.

3 bedroom lodge: the largest lodge sleeping 8. It has a kitchen with dining area, with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, cooker and microwave.

Other amenities include:

Lounge with wide screen TV and a DVD player, HIFI, sauna and exercise room.
Bedroom 1: Double bed with built in wardrobe and free standing dressing table.
Bedroom 2: Twin beds with free standing wardrobe and dressing table.
Bedroom 3: We can do either a double full size bunk bed or one 3'6" single (please inform us in advance of your requirement).

Plus a further sofa bed in the lounge which sleeps 2 (4" sprung mattress).

This accommodation is all on one level, suitable for guests with mobility problems and also suitable for pets.
