Burnham High Lighthouse, Somerset

After painstaking restoration, it has now been converted to become Britain's first self-contained holiday let - set inside an eight-storey lighthouse tower.

You, your friends and family now have the chance to live like a Lighthouse Keeper.

Sleep in round rooms (all-en suite), Dine in the lantern room with the best views in Somerset! Walk along the seashore with sand dunes & miles of beaches.

The lighthouse comprises eight floors. Visitors will have to climb 120 stairs to reach the top!  Access to the top floor lantern-room is via a steep ships ladder.

The tower accommodation comprises:
Reception/Dining room, Three en-suite bedrooms, Bathroom, TV room, Galley Kitchen (Floor seven), Lantern room & Balcony.

All bedding, soaps and towels are provided.

Enjoy all the West-country has to offer holidaymakers.

Burnham-On-Sea is the perfect base to enjoy a holiday break in the West. An old-fashioned Victorian seaside resort – it has eight miles of award-winning ‘Blue Flag' beaches. A much smaller resort than nearby Weston-super-Mare it is popular with windsurfers, kite enthusiasts, yachts, donkeys, families and dog-lovers. Within ten minutes you can be driving across the Somerset Levels – famous for its cider farms and willow production. The levels are dotted with family-friendly traditional pubs which serve wonderful home-cooked lunches.

You may choose to buy farmhouse cheese in Cheddar or explore the gorge and caves. Visit the cathedral city of Wells, or Glastonbury - famous for its historic Tor, Abbey and pop festival. Go shopping-mad at the nearby designer outlet in Street, Take a steam-train from Minehead on the West Somerset Railway.

Visit the Roman city of Bath or Brunel's Bristol. March through the Mendips or across Exmoor or simply stroll along the beach…the choice is endless and there's something for everyone... WE GUARANTEE IT!
