Broadgate Cottage is a Grade II listed building which forms part of the Old Town walls and is located in a quiet area, perfect for pedestrian access to the numerous attractions that Ludlow has to offer. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard this is the ideal base for a relaxing holiday of unique variety and character.

Ludlow, capital of South Shropshire is a charming market town with a huge range of independent shops, over 500 listed buildings! and  is currently feted as the gourmet capital outside London, with 4 Michelin starred restaurants. Nestled at the foot of the Shropshire Hills it is surrounded by the most glorious countryside and is conveniently placed for visiting a wide variety of attractions across 3 Counties and into Wales.  With good rail links it is also well suited for anyone wishing to have a holiday without a car.

Shropshire is known for its glorious countryside and civilised pace of living. Country pursuits abound, especially walking; several long distance footpaths across the
Shropshire Hills amongst which the National Trust's Carding Mill Valley and the Long Mynd are famous tourist spots. Horse-riding, cycling and fishing are alternative outdoor pastimes that are well-catered for, also many gardens open to the public.
Numerous tourist attractions based on architectural heritage, including many National Trust and English Heritage sites such as Stokesay Castle, and charming historic market towns such as
Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Bridgenorth. Features of the area's industrial heritage such as Ironbridge Gorge and the Severn Valley steam Railway.

Communications: Ludlow is convenient for the A49, the main route from Gloucester/Hereford to Shrewsbury and on into N. Wales and is well-served in terms of train services. This makes it suitable for anyone who wants the convenience and attractions of a charming rural town for an interesting break

The Cottage:

Master bedroom with 5' (Slumberland  Cameo) bed and en-suite bathroom with bath, toilet and basin. Second bedroom with 5'  wrought-iron bed. Single room with 3' divan and hideaway bed (Savoy Duosleep) both with luxury mattresses. Can be used adjacent to one another to make a 5' 9" bed.

Ground floor single room, off enclosed courtyard, family bathroom with shower, toilet and basin, basement cloakroom with shower, toilet and basin.

Solid country style stained pine fitted kitchen. Dishwasher, microwave, double gas oven, fridge-freezer. Wide range of quality equipment and utensils. Separate sitting and dining rooms, comfortably furnished to seat up to 8 for dinner, plus TV, video, hi-fi. Gas fire in sitting-room.

Utility Room:  Washing machine and tumble-dryer in basement.

Outside: Small 'internal' courtyard with secured access from the lane and from dining-room. Slatted decked roof garden above. On-road parking opposite/near cottage.
