Broomhill
Manor Country Estate, Bude, Cornwall Indoor
& Outdoor Swimming Pool * Jacuzzi * Gymnasium * Licensed Bar * Snooker * Consisting of 17
beautifully appointed cottages and a wing of the Manor House, Broomhill
offers a stunning array of facilities making this a perfect location for a
holiday at any time of the year. Situated close to the Cornwall/Devon border, Broomhill Manor
is situated in the perfect location to explore this beautiful part of the
West country. Just a mile or so from
the famous Bude sandy beaches and some of Cornwall's most dramatic coastal
scenery, Broomhill is also within easy reach of several golf courses. The focal point of Broomhill Manor's
facilities is the superb indoor leisure building. With its tropical
atmosphere and swimming pool, heated up to 84 degrees, you can enjoy this
relaxing warm temperature throughout the year. Providing most of the
facilities you would expect to find at a first class heath farm you can
indulge yourself with the sauna, solarium, or in the rejuvenating
Jacuzzi. Overlooking the indoor pool is the lounge and
licensed bar, which provides refreshment from morning to evening and is a
good place to relax and meet friends after an active day. There is a full
size snooker table to complete the facilities in this superb leisure centre.
In a separate building nearby, and primarily for the young, is the indoor
games room containing a pool table, table tennis and table football. For those with young
children Broomhill Manor is ideal. In the grounds, children delight in
feeding ducks on the ponds and there is a playground with swings, fort,
Wendy house etc. One of the favourite places with young children at
Broomhill Manor is with 'Timmy'. He is a miniature Shetland pony, which
gives the young children their first ride on a pony. Within a few minutes drive of Bude are many more exciting places to visit. Picture book fishing villages like Port Isaac and Port Quin with their narrow winding streets, Boscastle's sheltered harbour and Tintagel's Arthurian legend and quaint old post office. Beautiful countryside walks with equally enchanting names such as the Valency Valley, St. Nectan's Glen and the Rocky Valley. North of Bude, Hartland and Clovelly are essential stops on most visitors itinerary.
The Cottages: are unobtrusively tucked away among trees and shrubs on the 35 acre estate. The beautiful gardens are a feature of the estate, winning prizes and providing colourful flower beds and cascading hanging baskets to create an almost Mediterranean atmosphere. There are secluded thatched summerhouses, plentiful garden furniture and an outdoor pool with sun terrace. Other amenities include a floodlit tennis court, archery, clay pigeon shooting and the estate's own riding stables, with horses for all sizes and experience, even down to miniature Shetlands for the youngsters. In the luxurious indoor leisure building is another pool (85 degrees all year), together with a Jacuzzi, solarium, sauna and gymnasium. Overlooking the indoor pool and to encourage people to get to know one another is a lounge bar with a full size snooker table. Children have a choice of two outdoor play areas with swings, forts, Wendy houses and adventure equipment, plus a games room with pool and table-tennis etc. |
